

The guard, bolsters and pommel was polished 300 series stainless. The blade was a 161 layer damascus, with 80 layers on each side. Instead of the standard Kraton handle it used a traditional Japanese styled handle using Samegawa (shark or rayskin) with cross patterned silkcord. The Taipan comes with a hand crafted full leather sheath in the scout carry configuration. The handle grips are held with 3 Black G10 pins. The handle grips are Dyed & stabilised Spalted Sassafrass. Usage could be for skinning or general purpose. The Blade, made from 80CRV2 High Carbon steel has a sweeping trailing point that is sharp and ideal as a stabbing knife.
